I'm pondering "understanding" right now.

Isn't it an important investment to attempt to understand another person's viewpont?

I'm thankful that on Soulful Planet, we do this.

Great post, Mike!!

I am contemplating LOVE at the moment. A friend sent me a beautiful poem he wrote on the subject that I really identify with. It started with a discussion about the great love story between Katherine Hepburn & Spencer Tracy and how we all wish we could find love like that. My friend told me he had written a poem sometime ago that's the favorite of all he's written. It's a beauty I must say.

That kind of LOVE is everlasting and very multi-layered Dream. Your pondering fits right along with mine on UNDERSTANDING.

There is no true LOVE, without true UNDERSTANDING, or maybe the ability to grant another person the space to just be who they are.

I hear you on that, Mixey. UNDERSTANDING is required in all our relationships or they won't thrive. Most important is understanding ourselves. That leads to ACCEPTANCE of those close to us, warts and all.

Oh you're so right Dream! "Understanding" ourselves... leading to "acceptance" of others. The biggest mystery lies within, truly. If we can accept ourselves, it's a lot easier to accept others.

Pondering "God" right now... and wondering why wars are fought in the name of GOD... and does it matter if a person believes in or doesn't believe in GOD... and does it matter if GOD is internal or external... or real... or not? Why is so much evil as well as good, unleashed in the name of GOD.

Why can't we all just get along because it feels better? If it doesn't feel better to get along, maybe we should find out why... and address those issues, instead of insisting that people follow a doctrine.
