La Jolla Farms is a community of huge mansions, many of which, like the one on the top right, overlook Black's Beach... in La Jolla, Ca.

This beach has always been a favorite of mine.  Hang gliders launch and float over the top of it by day.  At night, there are regular drum circles around a fire.

Beautiful pictures Geno... I can't believe that woman is risking her life standing on that rubble!!!!  My son used to go to the edge overlooking Blacks Beach, just like that to scare the hell out of me.  lol

OMG!

Mixey... it looks so beautiful there. Amazing how they perch those homes so close to the edge of a cliff. I so want to see this beach someday, and You know i'd be wanting to jump right in with those drum circles and jam!
Sounds like so much fun.
Smiles,
Geno

I took
these pictures
a few moments ago
out on the "D"Street Deck...
looking to the South-SouthWest...

The Full Moon showing
some of it's many moods,
and reflecting a few of mine...

... It's very quiet, peaceful and beautiful out there right now.

Did you happen to notice this same moon, on this same night too?

***LOL***
Yup Mixey, that satellite dish pointing at nothing, connected to nowhere, but still there!

*lol* Perfect!

It would make a great bird bath... except that we already have one that auto fills up with water.

Now what?

     Geno,
 Make the Dish a giant Wok, and start cookin' !!!
      Youse guys pictures take me places I will probably never ever see.
 I have never had a travel budget.
    A good friend has a large Motorhome, and is now traveling all over
the U.S.  Sure sounds like a cool way to retire. He has sent me some great pics too. The only thing we got going in my area, is the biggest pot holes in the nation...and they keep getting bigger.
    Keep those pics coming!

Toad!!!

I LOVE the giant WOK idea...

However, building a big fire up there on the roof might be a bit dangerous in my hands!

*lol*

(Please remember what I did to the woods around here
that last time I cooked out
via "phone patch coast to coast style assist" with Mixey! *lol*)

By the way,
Mixey is GREAT with WOK's ...
We'd better check with her to see what she thinks.

*lol*
     Geno

p.s. Toad, I'll keep those pics and postcards coming! and... are pot holes good for cooking, too?

And Toad,
... not to mention, the flames and blaze from
the "Giant Wok Up On The Roof" idea
might piss off
our 'D'Street Resident Endangered Species Flying Squirrels! ...

*lol*

Jeff!!!!!!!!!!!!

Totally Awesome shots of the fall colors up at Pine Lake!!!!!
The crystal clear water acting as a "mirror" is simply...
Fantastic!

The colors are stunning this year.
I've been taking pics of the changing leaves from right here, too.

Looking South/SouthWest a few days ago...

Ok... Marty found this article...

and THiS Is Too Cool!!!

Hands-On with the GigaPan Epic Robotic Camera Mount
Gigapan Robotic Camera Mounts add an amazing – and quite affordable – dimension to panoramic imaging

By Allan Weitz on 07-19-2010

" — Gigapan technology made a big splash during President Obama’s inauguration, where it was used to capture a rather phenomenal photograph of the crowds that gathered in the Washington Mall. Wolf Blitzer was like a kid in a candy store, and kept looking in on the progress of the picture as it evolved. We did our own hands-on test of the Gigapan Epic Robotic Camera Mount."

" In a nut shell, Gigapan Robotic Camera Mounts create photographs, section by section, in a series of rows and columns determined by the focal length of the lens used and the angle of view of the scene you wish to capture. These rows and columns are stitched together into a single, ultra high-res wide field image file that online viewers can zoom in and out of with the click of a mouse. Unlike 3D technologies, you don't have to wear any headache-inducing eyeglasses to enjoy the fruits of your labors. ... ... ... "
(to read about, and try this incredible zoom in, click here!)

~~~••~~~~••~~~••~~~
Ok, so I did try this GigaPan right from their website...
I moved the wide shot a bit,
then randomly ZOOMED ALL THE WAY IN...
all the way in, in one continuous sweep...
and somehow like radar, look at what I found first
when I zoomed all the way into the crowd...
***LOL**** (see my actual screen grabs below!) Too funny!!!
Geno's actual Screen Grabs:
the GigaPan "wide shot"
and then ...zooomed way in... and LOOK what I find... first!
—(•)(•)—
Go figure!
What are the odds?
I guess my "hot babe" radar is still working!
~Geno
(((p.s. Try it, can You find her in the crowd?)))
